Influencing the best industrial ecosystem
amec represents a powerful community of industrial companies and acts as an influence and lobbying group vis-à-vis the environment.
We work to contribute to the development of the activity of internationalized industrial companies in a framework as favorable as possible, which promotes competitiveness and the generation of wealth.
Pere Relats, president of amec
Each year we identify the key challenges affecting industrial competitiveness, thanks to our direct contact with companies, the constant analysis of our Observatory and the knowledge of experiences and initiatives at national and international level. This work is essential to defend the interests of our business community.
We work with a collaborative, proactive and strategic approach, providing ideas and solutions to administrations and key players that shape the industrial environment.
Our lobbying activity is based on a continuous dialogue with public administrations, institutions and the media, as well as our participation in business networks and organizations. We are actively involved in influencing the decisions that shape the future of the industry.
Some lobbying topics worked on
- To position the industry as a fundamental sector for the generation of wealth before the Public Administrations.
- Promote an innovation strategy for the country that guarantees the competitiveness of the industry.
- Improved mobility of people, both in terms of the system for granting visas and the flexibility of the passport model.
- Contribution of solutions to trade barriers identified in various public-private forums.
- Improvement of financing instruments, such as the adaptation of credit insurance on behalf of the State to the specificities and needs of the operations of small companies.
We take advantage of our General Assembly, one of the annual meetings of our community, not only to comply with the legal issues of our association but, above all, to publicly present our annual lobbying objectives together with a representative of the public administration.
We are a constructive entity, we do not like to ask the Public Administrations to solve our needs, we know that our results depend on the effort and involvement of our companies, but we do need the context and the administrations to be prepared so that the investments of our community are as effective as possible.
